100 acres of zoological parkland in Hampshire, near Hotel TerraVina, where you’ll discover what a tropical rain forest feels like and see many of the animals of Africa.
There’s a huge glass house in which grow tropical plants, bananas, pineapples and so much more. You’ll also see arrow frogs and they’re poisonous! You’ll see geckos and leaf-cutter ants, scorpions and even and a spider that eats birds! In the tropical aquarium, you’ll see catfish and even piranha. You'll also see the Red Panda adopted by Hotel TerraVina.
There are several types of lemur, including endangered species. There are penguins in a pool with underwater windows, so you can watch them as they perform for you under water. Be sure to be there at feeding time in the afternoon when they all leave the water to wait for the keeper.
Then there are all the other animals from Africa including gazelles, monkeys, cheetahs, warthogs and giraffes. Be sure to try the elevated walkway that extends 30 metres into the giraffe paddock, giving you the chance to look a giraffe in the eye!
