An evening with Raymond Blanc OBE

This special evening is for the hotel’s adopted charity, The Rose Road Association and also for The Pelican Trust charity

With the generous help of Mr Christian Seely of AXA Millésimes and Christophe Régi of Pernod-Ricard, as well as Ian Talbot of Wilkins Kennedy

Four Courses Dinner at £210.00 per person

Black Tie – Aperitif from 19h00 – Sit down 19h30

We are extremely pleased to have with us the highly talented and very famous chef Raymond Blanc, OBE a true legend of the catering industry and a dear friend of Nina and Gerard’s for many years.  In the 1980’s Raymond founded Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons near Oxford, which quickly gained two stars in the Michelin guide and he has successfully established Le Manoir as a gastronomic institution where people from all parts of the world come to sample his cuisine.

Over the years, Raymond has written countless cookery books and has hosted many highly successful and entertaining television programs.  He is greatly respected by his peers and has won numerous awards such as the prestigious Catey Award (the equivalent of an Oscar for the Catering Industry), in 1990 for Chef and the Catey Award Life Time Achievement award in 2009.  He is unique not only thanks to his charm and charisma, but also in having been awarded both an OBE in the Queen’s honors list and also ‘La legion d’Honneur’ by the French President.

Tonight Raymond is not here to cook or present his cuisine as the menu and the cooking will be under the supervision of Hotel TerraVina’s Head Chef Gavin Barnes and the TerraVina team, but instead Raymond will speak after dinner of his amazing and fascinating career, or, knowing Raymond as well as we do and from past experience, he will chat about whatever he wishes, as Raymond never follows a script.

A large part of the proceeds of this evening will be shared between two wonderful associations, very close to TerraVina’s heart- The Rose Road Association and the Pelican Trust.

We would like to thank Raymond who is generously giving his time to be with us for this special evening; Thank you so much Raymond – you are a joy to know and we are sure that everyone will have a fantastic evening in your sparkling company!

We are also very grateful for the generous help on the wine side of Pernod-Ricard with the Perrier-Jouët Belle-Époque Champagne and AXA Millésimes with The S de Suduiraut with the starter, the wonderful Pomerol Petit Village with the intermediate course, two vintages of Pauillac classed growth Château Pichon-Baron with the main course and the Sauternes 1st growth Château Suduiraut with the dessert.  We are also delighted to have Mr Christian Seely of AXA Millésimes with us tonight.

Thanks too to Ian Talbot of Wilkins Kennedy who is a headline sponsor for the event.
