That’s it we are ready to go- the cases are packed, the preparation is at its end, there is little else left to read, train or prepare for. We fly to Chile on Friday and then the competition begins with me meeting up with all my friends and fellow competitors and then the adrenaline will start to pump and the excitement, mixed with apprehension, will kick in and the fun begins….. yes I know, despite all the stress, strain and tribulations of getting ready for the competition over the past three years it is so exciting to actually be so close to the actual event now- I love competing and as this is the very last time I will be competing before I hang up my corkscrew and retire, I am determined to enjoy it all the more!
I would just like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who have written, called and e mailed to wish me luck- their good wishes are greatly appreciated and many thanks too to my fantastic support team who have worked closely with me for many months-Xavier Rousset, Dimitri Mesnard, Vincent Gasnier, Nick Twyman, Becky Williams, Alan Holmes, Nigel Wilkinson, Laura Rhys and Laurent Richet and everyone else who in one way or another have helped me along the way; you have all been brilliant and I’m very grateful to you all….. Thank you.
I will let you know how the competition goes and will send news from Chile
