Wine Tastings Gerard Basset : Informal Tutored Wine Tastings

These sessions are so enjoyable; enhance a special occasion or complement a business meeting. Gerard Basset OBE, the Best Sommelier in the World, has trained his team well.

Informal Wine tastings
A wine tasting session taking place prior to a lunch or a dinner and lasting 40 to 60 minutes. The format is flexible but usually it is very relaxed. The attendees are normally standing up with a member of the wine team in the centre to conduct the tasting.

Up to eight persons:
From £500 inclusive of up to 6 wines chosen with the wine team upon deciding a theme
Up to sixteen persons:
From £800 inclusive of up to 6 wines chosen with the wine team upon deciding a theme

Tutored Wine Tastings
A wine tasting session taking place in the morning or afternoon and lasting 1h 30 to 2h 00. The format is more structured. The attendees are seated and equipped with not only wine glasses but also equipments such as spittoon and paper to write their tasting notes whilst a member of the wine team is conducting the tasting session.

Up to eight persons:
From £600 inclusive of a minimum of 6 wines chosen with a member of the wine team upon deciding a theme.
Up to sixteen persons:
From £900 inclusive of a minimum of 6 wines chosen with a member of the wine team upon deciding a theme.
Up to twenty four persons:
From £1,200 inclusive of a minimum of 6 wines chosen with a member of te wine team upon deciding a theme.
Up to Thirty persons:
From £1,500 inclusive of a minimum of 6 wines chosen with a member of the wine team upon deciding a theme.

For both wine tasting formats there will be no room charge if the attendees are eating at TerraVina after the tasting session. For guests not eating at TerraVina there will be a room charge of £100.

In addition to a member of the wine team, Gerard may be availabe to host such tasting events, but this is dependent on his diary committments and such tastings must be arranged with him personally , when he would be very happy to discuss personally the different options listed above and arrange for any event to be tailored to your individual requirements.

Other wine related activities, such as games like ‘The Option Game’ or ‘Call My Bluff’ can also be easily set up. Please call reception to discuss further.
